Tobias Peterson was born in West Germany. The waves of empire tossed him from Europe to the UK and then back to the States, where he landed finally in Texas. There he studied English and Spanish literature, earning degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an MA in English from George Mason University. He returned to Texas for an MFA in Poetry from Texas State University. He’s taught writing in Texas, England, Spain, and most recently at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. He lives across the Columbia River from there, in north Portland, Oregon.
